About

The who, what, where and when

What to expect on the day

On arrival at the venue you'll be presented with your own dramming glass to use throughout the day (don't forget to take it home with you afterwards!). Make your way on to the Cèilidh hall floor, approach an exhibitor and ask nicely for a dram - it's as simple as that! You might want to ask a few questions and have a chat with them and maybe your fellow festival-goers while you're there. All around the hall you will find plenty of spitoons for depositing your samples, and water stations for refreshing your glass and palate. We highly recommend that you use both, but do try to use them the right way round!

There will be food on offer from local producers - so don't forget to have a bite between drams. We will also have a nosing table in the main hall - the entrant whose answer card most closely matches the drams in the glasses will take home a great bottle of malt!

We will be offering subsidised UK & worldwide shipping from our Fèis shop within the venue, so no need to be stuck carrying bottles around with you when the shows over.

We have several other attractions planned for the day - and will announce details as they are confirmed. In the meantime you can add us on Facebook or Twitter to get the latest news.

Masterclass - Hosted by Tobermory Distillery, 2pm

Lead by a veteran of Tobermory Distillery, we'll be making an in-depth examination of the distillery's range of famous malts. A total of 6 drams will be tasted, including an exclusive sample of one of their sister distillery's new expression.

This event requires an additional "Masterclass Ticket", available here.

Who we are

The Fèis organisers are two locals and old friends, Euan and James, from the Oban Whisky & Fine Wines shop. The pair, both passionate about whisky, wanted to create an event that showcases the West Coast at it's finest. Where folk who are new to whisky, as well as the hardened whisky nuts, can hopefully come and have a blether, learn (or try) something new, and have a grand day out.
